Back to blog There are hundreds of London attractions to visit but with spring comes warmer weather and more opportunities for things to do. You’re no longer restricted to London’s indoor attractions and longer days mean you can make the most out of every day. So we had a think about what there is to do in London and have chosen our…

5 favourite London attractions to enjoy in the spring!

1. The London Eye and The Shard

We’re starting this out by combining two places in our first spot, because of them offer incredible views of the city. It might be cheating but we prefer to think we’re being generous! The London Eye has been one of London’s top attractions for years and even though the Shard is brand new by comparison, it also gets lots of visitors. The thing is, it’s not much fun going to either of them when the weather’s miserable and it’s dark. Sure, the view at night is still worth seeing but nothing beats going around the London Eye on a clear day. You can see for miles and take your time admiring the skyline. london-attractions-richmond-park-deer

2. Richmond Park

The most enjoyable part of spring is getting back in touch with nature and you can do that by visiting one of London’s many parks. Richmond Park is famous for its free roaming deer and nothing says spring quite like adorable baby animals (which feature elsewhere on this list). There are also cycle paths, playgrounds and not one but two golf courses! Open Air Theatre

3. Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre

There aren’t many London attractions quite like this one where you get to watch a theatre production outside and in beautiful surroundings. Seeing a play performed whilst sitting in the open-air is an experience everyone should go through at least once. This year (2017) Regent’s Park will have productions of classics such as On the Town and A Tale of Two Cities. It’s not just theatre either, Regent’s Park also organises outdoor cinema screenings and stand-up comedy from top comedians. 4. Kew Gardens

One of London’s greenest attractions, Kew Gardens is a must visit as flowers come in to bloom. There is a lot to see and do here. The Palm House is a beautiful example of Victorian engineering that houses palm trees and tropical plants. Outdoors there is the Great Broad Walk and Japanese landscapes. A big highlight of this London attraction is the Treetop Walkway, a structure that allows visitors to walk amongst the canopy. You can also get some fantastic views of London up there. Of course we’d expect nothing less from the architects that built the London Eye! london-attractions-zoo

5. London Zoo

We did say baby animals would feature again on our list of London attractions! Spring is an excellent time to pay a visit to London Zoo. The days get warmer, it’s more pleasant to walk around, the animals seem more active and of course, the baby animals become the stars of the show. Last year London Zoo saw the arrival of tiger cubs, penguin chicks, baby monkeys and a cute elephant calf. We cannot wait to see this year’s arrivals and we’re sure you won’t want to miss them either.   Have you got a favourite London attraction you think we missed?
