Subway systems are often the quickest way to get around a city and the Mapway app is the best guide to using them.
The Mapway app includes our curated schematic maps, train times for every station and a route planner to help you get around the city. If geographic maps are more your thing, easily switch to see the network on one of these instead.
The clearest map for your city
Inspired by the famous London Tube Map, we’ve designed maps that are clear and easy to read. And to keep up with a subway system that’s always changing, we’ve developed technology that allows us to push the latest map to the app without the need for an app update, so you can always be confident that it is up to date. Spend less time feeling lost and more time relaxing, exploring and seeing the sights.

Not just the Metro but Buses too
Sometimes the metro doesn’t get you to exactly where you want to go. For many of our cities, Mapway will show you nearby bus stops plus departures for each stop so you can plan your onward journey.
Journey Planner
Need to get to the Boston Opera House or debating the quickest route to the National Library of France (Bibliothèque Nationale de France)? With the Mapway app you can plan a route to any subway station on the map and to major points of interest. We will find the quickest and simplest routes to use.
Step-By-Step Guides
It helps to have an itinerary but sometimes it can be difficult to picture where you will be in relation to the map. That’s why our handy transport app gives you step-by-step guides on the metro map itself. Each journey is broken down so you know every direction and every changeover.
Train Times
No one likes getting to their stop and having to wait ages for the next metro train. Or even worse, arriving just as a train is pulling away. Each station in the Mapway app has detailed train times arranged by line and platform so that you know exactly when your train is due.
Nearest Station
This nifty little feature is the quickest and easiest way to start your journey. You might be a traveller exploring the city or a local who can’t decide which station is closest. Mapway will use your location to find the nearest station to you and show you where it is on the map.
– Travel Tip –
For a better chance at getting a seat on the Washington DC metro, get on the front carriage where it tends to be quieter.
– Did You Know? –
A travel ticket in Berlin will allow you to change easily between the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, trams and ferries without any extra charge.
